The NUS MBA | Class of 2018
Innovation & Entrepreneurship Specialisation
Pre-MBA:
Head of Operations, Pepper Tap (India)
Budding Entrepreneur
Experience
Embarked on a project entitled “Ease” – a portable kit
that converts a normal bike to an electric bike.
The Lean LaunchPad experience provided me with the opportunity to work with diverse technical expertise in a start-up environment and it teaches me the need to take necessary steps such as conducting interviews so that we can identify business problems at scale.
The Management Communication module has further strengthened my role to pitch the idea to investors to commercialize the product.
Experience
Joined the GIP in India where “it is a territory that I am familiar with”.
I would not have been granted the opportunity to have a 1-hour face to face interaction each with 7 CEOs from reputable companies in my home country if not for The NUS MBA.
One interaction that stood out to me was with the CEO of Byju – a 5 billion dollar company that produces an app to replace tuition services for primary school students.
Experience
Embarked on and emerged champion at the SCB Future Leader Challenge Case Competition.
I had already planned to take part in case competition at the start of The NUS MBA. I made the decision to take part in it towards the end of the programme so that I can test and demonstrate all the strategies & skill sets that I have gained from The NUS MBA.
The consolidated frameworks that The NUS MBA has provided me & the team with the competitive edge to emerge as winners in the SCB Future Leader Challenge Case Competition.
Experience
Singapore startup from Dec 2017 - Jun 2018 as an Entrepreneur-In-Residence.
I also got to intern in a Singapore startup – Grain – an online restaurant.
This started during my first term break after Semester 1.
I could work full time during vacations and up to 16 hour a week during school term, combining with my electives which took place in the evenings.
My internship experience allowed me to put into practice what I learnt in class.

Innovation & Entrepreneurship Specialisation
My choice of pursuing the MBA was not for a career advancement or change. It has always been on my bucket list of things to achieve in life.
But what I got out of it was an expansion in my career scope – heading the operations for a single country to a larger scale i.e entire Asia. I attribute that to the network & exposure that The NUS MBA has provided me.
